However, the Decree has yet to be approved by Parliament and it is therefore not definitive and could be subject to further amendments. The decree should be approved in the next few days.
The increases are due to apply to supplies of goods and services from 1 September 2012. Moreover, the Decree anticipates a further 0.5 % VAT rate increase from 2014. .
